Vocation Activities in the Visayas
Different vocation activities have taken place here over the past few months. We attended the monthly meetings organized by the Directors of Vocation in the Philippines (DVP- Cebu). In August, Sr. Ena went to Davao and attended 4 days training on "Vocation Accompaniment" along with over 70 other vocation Directors/Directresses from all over the Philippines.
We also took part in the different vocation jamborees organized in 3 different places (North, South and the city area.) As there are over 80 women’s congregations here in Cebu, there was great energy at the jamborees and lots of contact with young people.
In August we went to the first Visayan ‘Singles for Christ’ conference, held in Bantayan Island, North Cebu. Some vocation directors/directresses attended and took part in the event, counseling, prayer, and different workshops. Over a thousand young women and men attended. They really enjoyed the activities.
Search-In from July to November 2011
Over the last 2 months we invited young women to a Search-In in our community house. This took place on the last Sundays of July and August. We will continue this gathering for young women interested in religious life. The next one is planned for Sunday the 25th September. It takes place from 8.30 to 1pm.
A Small Sister on mission in a working-class family: Table realize by Paul Wante in Belgium (1930)
We Are Women, Religious, And Apostles, Called By God.
We assume the Missionary Project of our founders Etienne Pernet and Anrounelte Fage in an International Community. Revealing the tenderness and mercy of the Father for humanity, especially the weakest, the poor, workers and the families gathered together like ‘the people of God.’
We do that through simple gestures of service, like Jesus who lived servant and savior.
We are sensitive to all the problems that affect the poor, especially all that destroys the family, the “call of our society.”
We contribute from the stand-point of the poor to bring about a more just society.
Our apostolic project is lived in community
Sharing life…
Sharing the word…
Sharing the mission…
We look to Mary, a woman of faith, she gives us strength and hope to believe that a new world is possible among us.
